Since losing to Team WE in the 2017 Rift Rivals final in Taiwan, SKT T1 has not won a game in their home country – a country in which they have dominated the competitive landscape of LoL for the last five years.

The Rift Rivals loss shattered the confidence of SKT T1. They racked up a disastrous record of 0-9 in their last nine games. Even the worst team in Europe, Ninjas in Pajamas, recently won a match. The team with the poorest recent performance in North America, Team Liquid, is 2-7 in its last nine games. Currently, the world champions are weak and any team can defeat them.
Check out the “huge” list of reasons to believe in the return of the good phase for SKT:
We do not need to list more reasons. The 0-9 performance is agonizing. Faker and his trainer, Kim “kkOma” Jung-gyun, suffered together, showing that they are human like the rest after all.
This is the same team that just a month ago took the Mid-Season Invitational. It was considered a remarkable victory for the side of G2 Esports when they won a single SKT game in a best-of-five contest.

This is the organization that has the best coach, the best player, and the best infrastructure of anyone in the world. Indeed, it is complicated to calm down with four consecutive losses in a series.
However, a scheduled patch may be the restart the team so badly needs. It could be their salvation, or it could be just a continuation of the martyrdom, we will see soon. However, it will be difficult to look worse than what was seen against Longzhu in the last match of SKT.
It is easy to point out the problems of SKT T1, especially after their departure from Taiwan. The South Korean team confidently predicted that it would have a clean sweep of the Chinese Spring Split champion in the Rift Rivals final. However, they failed to achieve it.
SKT T1 is not playing at its best, but champions are not known to give up: they are tested and overcome adversity.
Let’s not forget that SKT T1 did not enter the last World Cup as the favorite. The team reversed a sweep of their rival, KT Rolster, in the summer semifinals of the LCK.
They were the second or perhaps even the third favorite in the competition. All eyes were on ROX Tigers to finally usurp the top of League of Legends team. We all know what happened.
SKT T1 joined forces to perform in one of the best series of LoL ever seen in the crowded Madison Square Garden arena.
So relax, fans of SKT. Stay calm, those of you who think the team dynasty is finally over. SKT T1 always fights against the odds, though their supremacy will be highly dependent on the upcoming performance of the whole squad.
