NA LCS Teams Information Tweet NA LCS Teams First of all, we should mention that the North American region is not the best one, but it still has its own attractiveness. The American government has recognized LoL eSports as legitamate professional sports. This means that international professional players can get a special visa to the US by playing their favorite game. That is really incredible and deserves admiration. While TSM, C9, CLG, and Team Liquid are quite familiar, we also have a lot of new teams on the league roster. APEX Even though they are the newest LCS team in the league, there are a lot of experienced players on their roster. APEX went through an intensive boot camp in Korea, preparing for their first season in the LCS. They are a really well synchronized team with great players hungry for the biggest competitive scene. CLOUD 9 Maybe the most titled North American team in League of Legends history, collecting two 1st place finishes in the regular NA LCS and a 3rd place at the Worlds Finals in 2013. With some of the biggest companies backing them, a lot of gaming experience, and a solid team roster, C9 are one of the most dangerous NA LCS teams. ECHO FOX Do you know what is common between acting, basketball, business, and gaming? The answer is Rick Fox, retired NBA player and founder of eSport team, ECHO FOX. The team has earned its place among the best NA LCS teams for 2017. With an impressive win against NRG Esports, Henrik “Froggen” Hansen and company will entertain us for at least one more season. Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) Founded in April, 2010, by George “HotshotGG” Georgallidis, CLG is the oldest NA LCS team still active to this day. CLG is heading into the split with the same title-winning roster they used in Spring of 2016. We can finally say the team has the potential to win the regional season and represent NA teams at Worlds. IMMORTALS (IMT) Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin, and Jason “WildTurtle” Tran are part of this amazing North American LoL team. Despite the fact that players had never played with each other before, IMT won third place in the Spring Split, after an incredible regular season. Now, all eyes are focused on their performance in the Summer Split and eventually in League of Legends Worlds. TSM Team SoloMid is considered one of the best NA LCS teams after its founding in 2015. They are an extremely serious competitor for first place in NA LCS. The team is determined to step up at the League of Legends summit in 2016, after their second place finish last year. Team Liquid Although Team Liquid is quite familiar in the global eSports scene, their team is new in the League of Legends discipline. After merging with Team Curse, Team Liquid inherited the former’s LCS spot with almost the same roster. With a World Champion on their side, great teamwork, and one of the most audacious junglers around, Team Liquid is a very impressive team in the Summer Split. NRG NRG is another team as a result of NBA interest in eSports. The team was formed when the co-owners for the Sacramento Kings, an American NBA team, purchased Team Coast’s NA LCS spot in the 2016 Spring Split. NRG eSports is a modest team compared to the rest of the LCS NA Teams. Phoenix1 Another fresh team in NA LCS, Phoenix1, rises from the ashes of team Impulse, using their spot in the league. It features very talented players, with an impressive coach. We’ve yet to see if they can compete with the biggest names in eSports. Team EnVyUs Another multi-gaming organization which is new to League of Legends, team EnVyUs appeared after they bought the Renegades’ seed in the NA LCS. They are definitely a very sympathetic team full of great professional players, but still far away from being the biggest in this discipline.
