The Premier League season is seven games old. With the international break meaning no fixtures this week for DFS managers to enjoy, this seems as good a moment as any to press the pause button and reflect on what we have learned so far in our Premier League Review.
So here’s a quick rundown of the best DFS Premier League players so far this season. On top of that, we have prepared a few sleeper picks and bargain buys to mark your card for gameweek 8.

All DFS managers love an effective attacking player; here is where the big points are won. The best attacking talents contribute goals, assists, crosses, and all of the other good stuff to produce an accumulative effect that *should*ultimately drive your draft on to success.
Here is a selection of the best the DFS Premier League has had to offer so far this season:
It’s no surprise that the DFS Premier League’s most expensive player is also the highest average point scorer in the competition’s short history.
Five goals in as many games makes him the division’s joint top goalscorer. His outstanding ratio of 5.20 shots per game – most of which are on target – also contribute to his outstanding FPPG score.
The Korean ace has really fired Tottenham along in the absence of Harry Kane. Four goals, two assists, and 4.50 shots on goal per 90 minutes have given birth to the Spurs’ new favourite Son.
What a player this Belgian is. With each passing game he makes a greater mockery of Chelsea’s decision to sell him all those years ago. His two goals and four assists have helped fire Manchester City to the top of the Premier League table. You’d expect there is plenty more to come from the ginger maestro in the coming months.
It’s no secret that the best DFS defenders are those who can contribute in the attacking third as well as the defensive. This is certainly something that Rose excels at.
The England international has scored this season, averages a shot per game, is fouled 2.80 times per 90 minutes, and has also contributed to the Spurs defence that has kept four clean sheets this term. Exhausting, but rewarding work.
Everton’s upturn in form this season has helped fire Coleman to the upper echelons of ‘most wanted’ defenders lists for DFS managers.
A goal, two clean sheets, 0.8 crosses per match and 4.00 tackles per 90 minutes have all contributed to the Irishman’s Daily Fantasy success.
Not the highest points tally, but one that has certainly risen in recent weeks as Arsenal has found form. Bellerin is an attacking right back who likes to contribute in the attack (one assist, 0.4 shots per game, 0.6 crosses) and on defence (0.7 tackles per 90 minutes, three clean sheets). His fortunes will improve as the Gunners’ do.
Available for a cool $1,000 less than many other defenders, Alderweireld continues to excel at the heart of Tottenham’s defence and bring joy to Daily Fantasy managers across the globe.
With 6.2FPPG, he almost sneaks into our ‘best defenders’ list. That has been driven in part by Spurs’ four clean sheets in seven outings.
The Belgian is also noted for his ability to be a nuisance in opposition penalty areas at centre pieces, which has prompted his two goals thus far this season.
What a gem West Brom has picked up from Tottenham here. The Belgian never quite made the grade at White Hart Lane, but their loss is certainly the Baggies’ gain.
Three goals, two assists, and a series of eye-catching performances have contributed to Chadli’s outstanding 16.2FPPG – so act fast because he won’t be available at this $6,600 price tag much longer.
Much maligned at Liverpool, Allen has caught some attention with a series of all-action displays for new club Stoke City, and those have contributed to a fine 12.9FPPG this term.
Active in both defence and attack, the Welshman offers DFS managers plenty of chances to accumulate much-needed points and at an absolute snip of a price too.
Each week we provide our DFS Premier League Team of the Week based on the salary cap and the available players from that particular slate. With the international break bringing a week’s grace to proceedings, we thought we’d instead post our DFS Premier League Team of the Season (So Far):
