Home I eSports I eSports I Player of the Month – FalleN
It is time for our Player of the Month article! Last time, Marcelo “coldzera” David was in the spotlight. Now, his captain and IGL, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, deserves the spot in our article.
He is not only one of the best eSports players, but also a two time Major winner, second best player for 2016, and is one of the most successful CS: GO players when it comes to cashing in from tournament prize pools.

Why FalleN? He had a massive impact in SK Gaming matches in November. With his great AWP skills, he was the core of the success of the team at the Blast Pro Series held in Copenhagen, ESL PRO LEAGUE Season, and of course ECS Season 4.
Through all this, his average KDR for November was less than October’s ratio. However, Gabriel had a positive streak of 12 matches, where his KDR was over 1.00. His best performance for the month was the battle against Astralis at the final of Blast Pro Series. FalleN stepped ahead as a real captain, having 1.78 at the final map and 1.67 at the map before (second-best performance for the month).
With that, he once again proved he is the person for those tough moments. Let’s see how the player performed, compared to his fellow teammates.
As we can see in the graph, FalleN’s KDR for the month is surely not the best in the squad. Coldzera and Fernando “fer” Alvarenga are both above him. However, in the most intense moments, Gabriel showed why he is such a beast with an AWP and the best IGL in the world.
November was busy for FalleN and SK Gaming. They took place in the regular ECS and ESL PRO League Seasons. Moreover, they fought against 5 incrediblly skilled teams at the Blast Pro Series in Copenhagen.
The Lan event held in Denmark is the reason we chose FalleN for Player of the Month.
FalleN was incredible the whole tournament, ending it with 1.21 rating.
He led the charts in opening kills (29) and AWP kills (79) and had the second-highest success rate in opening duels at 65.9%. All his stats were way above average, but as we mentioned, his performance of the grand final against Astralis is the real reason for him to get the MVP.
Gabriel is a former Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike Source player. He already has a 12 year history in competitive gaming, dating back to 2005 when he was part of teams crashers and Soldats.
After the release of Source version, he played for VSONE in 2008 and Target Down and TD.Col.
The real rise of his eSports career started when the new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was released. In the period between 2013 to 2015, FalleN played for a lot of teams. The most famous is KaBuM! eSports. Then along with most of his current teammates, he signed a contract at the famous Brazilian organization Luminosity. With hard work and dedication, Gabriel and the rest of the squad managed to win the most prestigious CS: GO Event – the Major. Not too long after that, the eSports giant SK Gaming signed the whole squad.
The next period was incredibly successful for SK Gaming and FalleN. They managed to finish 2016 in the top 3, and Mr. Toledo was chosen as the second-best player in the world.
This year has also been great for the team and their captain. They won several tournaments throughout the year, and currently holding the 1st place in the world team ranking. Of course, all eyes are at the next Major, where SK Gaming will try to win their 3rd Major Title!
