Home I eSports I eSports I Panorama UI in CS:GO
The newly unveiled Panorama User Interface is now accessible to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Windows users.
The update that enabled Windows users to access the Panoramic UI was released last Friday. The Panoramic view was granted by Valve as an anniversary present to the veteran eSports title. This UI update promises to improve gameplay, restructure in-game menus, and modify in-game visuals. By enabling “-panorama” in the launch options, one can enjoy the UI overlay with his/her friends. Let’s have a look at some of the prominent features of the UI.

The new panel type layout of the UI is quite an attractive feature. It is surely one that catches the eye as soon as you open the game. On the corner of the home screen, there are multiple options you can access from the panel. As soon as you select the option of your choice, the panel slides out and directs you to your destination. This is quite catchy and goes well with the visual and mechanical aspects of the UI. This is a smart tool by the developers that shows how much Valve is dedicated to modifying the veteran title.
One change that has been rarely pointed out is the modifications to the radar of the competitive maps of CS:GO.
The newly unveiled radar maps are a significant improvement to the previous ones. They make in-game navigation quite easy. The new color scheme is engaging and attractive. Currently, this scheme is enabled for a handful of maps in the demo. We really hope that this radar change will be included in all maps in the final launch version. A lot of YouTubers and veterans of CS:GO have given a thumbs up to this change.
Another feature that brings freshness to the game is the new font. It makes the interface more appealing and will surely be seen in the final launch of the UI. Since the launch of CS:GO in 2012, we have been witnessing the same classic font style, so this is the first time in 6 years that we are getting something new in the font department. It looks decent and although it is a small change, it makes the new UI a lot more pleasing to the eye. Don’t worry about manually changing the in-game font. All you have to do is launch the UI and font will change itself.
This is a great initiative by Valve to bring a sense of freshness to CS:GO. The game has been recently criticized for becoming obsolete. This will surely silence some criticism and will be warmly welcomed by the community. This UI is currently in the development phase and Valve is also asking the opinions of the community to finalize the product. The title is currently facing some serious competition from PUBG, Fortnite, and Overwatch. As a result, Valve will also be aiming to launch new maps and bring changes to mechanics in the future.
