Home I Latest News I NFL Week 16 DFS Lineup
Here we are with only two weeks to go in the regular season before the playoffs. Although daily fantasy football players know that every week is the playoffs for us. I will be breaking down some of the players I like and the best games to target. Merry Christmas to all that are celebrating. Let’s get started with our NFL week 16 DFS lineup!
The Saints have been a popular pick for me this season. Although their defense has played better than most expected, they still are not good. This game is set up for a shootout and anything less will be a disappointment.
Drew Brees QB ($7,400)
Drew Brees is coming off one of his best games of the season. Last week he threw for 4 touchdowns and 389 yards. This week he gets a shaky Tampa defense and I expect another big week. Look for Brees to throw for a least 3 touchdowns.
Brandin Cooks WR ($6,800)
Cooks is coming off a career game last week where he put up 186 yards and 2 touchdowns. Look for Brees to continue to look for him vs Tampa. Cooks has had at least 8 targets in the last 3 weeks. The Brees/Cooks combo is as good as it gets.
Michael Thomas WR ($6,000)
Michael Thomas continues to impress everyone during his rookie season. Most people have been waiting for Thomas to cool off but that simply has not happened. Coming off a week where he secured 7 catches on 10 targets, look for Thomas to have another big week.
Jameis Winston QB ($6,500)
It has surely been a disappointing season for daily fantasy players who have been playing Winston. Failing to break 20 points since week 11, look for Jameis to break out vs the Saints secondary which is ranked 27/32 against opposing QBs. Jameis should be throwing the ball plenty this week which makes for an interesting play.
Mike Evans WR ($8,500)
Mike Evans has been held under 10 points for 3 straight weeks. Look for that that to end this week. Evans has been frustrating with minor injuries but has not shown up on the injury report this week. Look for Evans to explode on Saturday.
We have another shootout on our hands folks. Two great quarterbacks and two bad defenses, that is the recipe for a fantasy dream. The last time these two teams met they put up a whopping 81 points. I am expecting another shoot out, this should be a fun one.
Matt Ryan QB ($7,200)
Matt Ryan put up 39.5 fantasy points the last time these two teams met in week 4. Ryan has been held in check recently but I am expecting an explosion this week when Julio Jones returns.
Julio Jones WR ($7,200)
I don’t think I even need to explain why I like Julio Jones, do I? Anyway I’ll tell you this, the Panthers are ranked 28/32 against opposing wide receivers. I will also tell you that the last time these two teams played in week 4, Julio Jones had one of the best games in the history of the NFL when he caught 12 balls for 300 yards for 51 fantasy points. Enough said, right?
Cam Newton QB ($6,600)
Coming off a Monday night game where he finally looked like the old Cam, I am looking forward for Cam Newton breaking down the Falcons defense which is ranked 32/32 against opposing quarterbacks. At only $6,600 this might be a chance to get him low after having mostly a disappointing 2016 season.
Jonathan Stewart RB ($5,200)
Stewart played great on Monday night racking up 132 yards. This week he gets to face the Falcons defense ranked 30/32 against opposing running backs. Look for Stewart to get the ball often and early and have another big game.
