Home I Daily Fantasy Sports I DFS Featured Articles I NFL Week 15 – DFS Preview
NFL Week 15 is upon us and some teams are in need of a Christmas Miracle to resurrect their seasons. Luckily for Daily Fantasy Football players, each week is a new season. There are plenty of good games on the NFL Week 15 slate so I will get into the games where I will be targeting the most players. Lets go!
The Raiders are coming off their worst game of the season when they lost 21-13 to the Chiefs on Thursday. They will have had 10 days of rest to think up revenge, and revenge is what they will get. Derek Carr and the Raiders will enjoy the San Diego weather and put up big numbers.
Derek Carr QB ($6,300)
Derek Carr lead the way in the disappointment last Thursday night but the Raiders just couldn’t get it going. I am looking forward for Carr to bounce back in the warm weather and sling the ball around like we were all getting used to. Look for Carr to have a big day.
Amari Cooper WR ($7,100)
Cooper has been somewhat of a disappointment in 2016. Most were expecting him to take the next step in becoming an elite WR, but he has just been too inconstant. I won’t hold that against him this week and I am expecting a big day from Mr Cooper. I will be playing the Carr/Cooper combo and so should you.
Latavius Murray RB ($5,800)
Latavius Murray has been a refreshing surprise for Daily Fantasy Football players in 2016. The injury prone running back has managed to stay healthy and has a wonderful matchup in week 15. Murray faces the Chargers defense ranked 26/32 against opposing RBs. Look for the Raiders to score plenty of points on Sunday,
Tyrell Williams WR ($5,800)
Not the sexiest of choices but Williams has been getting the job done out in San Diego. Facing a questionable Raiders secondary which is ranked 24/32 against opposing WR, look for Tyrell to break a big one one Sunday.
The highest over/under of week 15 features one very good team and one very bad team. They do have one thing in common however. They both are incapable of stopping the run. The 49ers are ranked 32/32 while the Falcons are ranked 31/32 against opposing running backs. Look for the call to be run on Sunday in this matchup.
Devonta Freeman RB ($6,700)
As I just mentioned, the 49ers cannot stop the run. Combine that with one of the top running backs and it spells disaster for the 49ers. I am expecting the Falcons to run it early and often, especially once they secure a big lead. Something tells me Freeman wasn’t happy with only receiving 6 carries in week 14. Look for them to get him involved heavily in week 15.
Tevin Coleman RB ($5,000)
While having two running backs does scare me a little, I believe there is enough touches to go around on Sunday. I don’t usually like playing two running backs from the same team but the 49ers are always the exception. One of them will definitely have a big day and there is a possibility both will. Coleman is the cheaper option of the two and he is coming off a 19 point game.
Atlanta Falcons Defense ($3,900)
Coming off a monster performance last week against the Rams, look for the Falcons to be flying at home when they face the 49ers. I will be playing the Falcons defense plenty on Sunday as they should get a big lead and force them to throw the ball more than the 49ers want to.
Carlos Hyde RB ($5,900)
Coming off the best game of his career against the lowly Jets, Hyde is looking at a monster week yet again. Although a blowout is possible I think Carlos should see enough touches warrant a play this week. The Falcons are the worst rushing defense in the NFL if you don’t count the 49ers. This week should be another big one for the young running back.
