Home I eSports I eSports I MiBR is Back with New Roster
Finally, the moment we all been waiting for has arrived. In December last year, we first heard that Made in Brazil would be returning this summer after Immortals planned to purchase it. Since then, countless reports have also appeared relating to the SK roster being part of the deal.
Last week, Immortals announced the acquisition of the iconic Made in Brazil, known as MiBR. This is not the only news, as the roster confirms part of the rumors earlier this year that SK Gaming would be transplanting their entire lineup to MiBR.
According to Noah Winston, CEO of Immortals and MiBR, the revival of MiBR is because people are incredibly passionate about eSports. In the Brazilian region, the market is relatively untouched and that could lead to further growth of the landscape.
In addition, MiBR has partnered with Razer, K-Swiss, Mountain Dew, Tinder, and Betway. The partnership with Tinder brings news to the public. Those who have the Plus and Gold plan on Tinder can win personalized training sessions and meet the team in person, get invites to post-VIP parties, and buy MiBR items in advance through the new Tinder Gold Club.

The Immortals management said the guys of SK Gaming signed the longest-running Counter-Strike contract ever, and they are not going to retire anytime soon. There are still some good years ahead for the incredibly talented roster. The organization believes that it will succeed in becoming a dominant team with the likes of Marcelo “coldzera” David, Ricardo “boltz” Prass, and Fernando “fer” Alvarenga.
The MiBR team will be relocated to Los Angeles and will consist of:
MiBR was the first Brazilian lineup to win titles of international relevance in Counter-Strike. From 2003 to 2012, the team won several titles such as the CPL Brazil and CPL Chile. But it was in 2006 that the world came to respect the green and yellow colors in the Counter-Strike franchise. Carlos “KIKO” Segal and Renato “nak” Nakano won the grand finale of the ESWC 2006 against Fnatic. They became World Champions, bringing the title to Brazil for the first time.
After the official revelation last Saturday, MiBR will make their debut with the new roster on July 3rd at the ESL Cologne 2018. The first opponent of the Brazilian team will be the Australian squad of Renegades. The group also has teams like FaZe Clan, BOOT, Fnatic, North, BIG, and Team Liquid. With a prize of $300,000, the ESL Cologne 2018 runs from July 3 to 8 in Germany.
