ESL Pro League Season 6 is a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament run by ESL. It is the sixth season of the ESL Pro League and has an overall prize pool rumored to be $1,000,000. Teams from two continents, North America and Europe, compete in fourteen team leagues to attempt to qualify for the Finals.
The format for ESL’s Sixth Pro League Season remains more or less the same as before. The teams are playing two BO1s in a round robin format against each opponent. This adds up to 26 games at the end of the season. As per usual, the winning team earns three points for each victory. Let’s take a look at some of the matches from the Europe League.

A new competitive season of CS:GO is here. The teams have almost finalized their rosters in order to improve themselves from last season. The first major tournament for NiP is the ESL Pro League 6. The team had a decent year but not one to remember. They are still adjusting and trying to find a proper replacement for Adam “friberg” Friberg. They didn’t make any changes to their roster and will continue to improve the chemistry of the side with the same squad.
NiP needs to return to its former glory. They won three major titles last year and are currently struggling to make it to the knockout rounds. The experience is there for the side with Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg and Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund. Right now, all the team need is to get back its rhythm.
Compared to NiP, North has been making changes to its lineup. The team has replaced Emil “Magisk” Reif with Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså, a former Heroic star. North will be looking to build on the amazing performances they had throughout the year. The signing of valde shows they are moving in just the right direction.
North was founded in the first week of January, 2017. They signed the former roster of Team Dignitas. Since then the team has displayed great performances, with good results to show for it. However, they are yet to lift a competitive title since their formation. North’s highest place this year was a runner-up finish to G2 Esports at the ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals. After the group stage exit at ESL, North reached Legend status for the second time in a row at the PGL. However, North was unable to reach the semifinals and lost 2-0 to the home team, Virtus.pro.
If we look at both teams in terms of their past podium finishes, then NiP is the favorite. However, looking at their current performances, the Danish side of North is clearly better, with a much more stable roster. The side of NiP is good on experience, but North is well-versed in adapting to the changing scenarios of the game. Lastly, looking at the head-to-head meetings between the sides, North has yet to lose a map to NiP.

The French CS:GO scene now has three shuffles behind it – three attempts to unite the best French players under one flag.
In contrast to wine, the French team did not mature with time. The longer a lineup, the more vulnerable they became for problems that could not be solved.
At the beginning of 2017, the French united in a new formation under the G2 Esports banner. Thus, the two best French players played together for the first time with Kenny “kennyS” Schrub and Richard “shox” Papillon.
Despite the prestigious names in the lineup, the team struggled to deliver results at first. The superteam was disappointed in the first two events, even though they lost to the tournament’s ultimate winner.
At the DreamHack Open in French Tours, kennyS and Co. were able to lift their first trophy. This was followed by the first ESL Pro League Finals win against SK Gaming against a top 3 team.
Since then, the French have wavered again and have come back from the heights of victory to the ground. With the early departure in Krakow, the great Major success remained in the shadow for shox.
G2 has not had any problems with weaker teams. They have shown tight matches against the top five teams, but they were often defeated in the end.
The team must strive to deliver some great performances after the major break. The goal of G2 should also be in the upcoming EPL season to secure a place in the top 4.
Mousesports looks confident at the ESL Pro League Season 6. In the last two seasons, the mice rewarded themselves with two playoff appearances. One of those resulted in reaching a semi-final. That was enough for the side as they have gone all in to bring major changes to their lineup.
The new mousesports has three good riflers on paper with Miikka “suNny” Kemppi, Robin “ropz” Kool, and Martin “STYKO” Styk. All three are considered strong, aspiring players. Tomáš “oskar” Šťastný is the reliable star player of the team with his AWP. The Czech has proven in the past that he is a superstar. The rookies benefit enormously from the experience of Chris “chrisJ” de Jong and oskar. In addition to star players, flexible and supportive players such as STYKO also contribute to the team.
So, it will be a close matchup between the sides. Both teams are looking to come out guns blazing with their new lineups. However, G2 will get the better of inexperienced mousesports.
