For many daily fantasy managers, each week represents a new opportunity to trouser some tidy profits from the contests they enter. And this requires them to keep their finger very much on the pulse in the run-up to completing their draft.
Many keep up to date with the latest daily fantasy news by visiting various sports news/stats websites throughout the week; a time-sapping exercise.
Now the chiefs of the DFS world, DraftKings, have taken matters into their own hands following the launch of their own app, DK Live, which will act primarily as a sports news aggregator. You will no longer have to search countless different websites to get hold of the latest updates that could affect who you draft to your roster that week.
Handily, if you have carried out a ‘mock draft’ before actually submitting your line-up into contests the app will keep you informed of any developments regarding your roster. This kind of personalization will help daily fantasy managers make more informed decisions regarding their squad. That can only be a good thing, and the customization of the app saves users both time and effort.
A soft launch covering just the NFL has been announced, but if the app proves to be a success then you can bet your bottom dollar that soccer, NBA, NHL, golf, and plenty more sports will follow suit soon. DraftKings aims to start developing their own content soon too. Which means that you can expect the very latest daily fantasy news, views, and gossip to be winging its way to your mobile devices in text and video form soon enough.
The press release announcing the launch is a typically grandiose affair. DraftKings CEO Justin Robins states, “Our team built DK Live with the fantasy player in mind, creating an experience tailored to each fan and connecting them to the content that matters most to them.”
“DK Live is our latest way of giving sports fans the best technology and experience by eliminating the frantic screen hopping between different apps and web sites on game day,” Robins continued.
