The Liga Profissional Alienware Gamers Club competition is set to take place in a couple of days. The competition will host some of the top tier two CS:GO teams in Brazil. The competition includes 8 teams divided into two groups. In the group stages, each side will play BO1 matches. After all the matches, the teams with the most defeats from each group will be eliminated while the remaining six teams will make it to the playoffs. In the playoffs, the format will be single elimination with teams competing in the BO3 format. The teams that will make it to the final will fight for the lion’s share of the Prize Pool. The Prize Pool holds R$5,000 BRL, where the winner will get R$ 3,000. Let’s have a look at the match between two of the most well-reputed teams in the competition.
C4 Gaming has been going through a rough patch recently. The team has won only two of their last six competitive games. C4 can get solid starts, but they just can’t co-op under pressure and need time to find their rhythm. Despite horrible results, C4’s player to shine is Filipe “fP1” Caires. He has gotten the most kills for his side with a decent K/D ratio of 1.23.
In contrast to C4 Gaming, Isurus has been in exceptional form. The team has won five of their last six games. Isurus Gaming’s lineup has played only 39 games together with a 64% win-percentage. It looks like the team has found the winning combination and is in no mood to start their group stage campaign with a loss. Gabriel “1962” Sinopoli is one of the reasons for this recent success. The 22-year-old has managed a K/D ratio of 1.2 since joining for the roster. So, 1962 and company should see off C4 as they did a week ago.
These two teams met in the ESEA Open Season 28 Brazil about a week ago. Isurus completely dominated C4 and beat them 2-0 in the BO3 series. The teams played on Mirage and Dust 2. In Mirage, C4 won the first pistol round. They went into halftime losing 6-9. C4 managed to tie the map 13-13 but just like their last games, they couldn’t help but let it slip away. As a result, the team lost the remaining rounds. In the second map, Dust 2, Isurus gave no breathing room as they jumped out to an explosive start, leading 12-3 at halftime. They dropped only one game in the second half to eliminate C4 from the ESEA.
This upcoming game might be a BO1 match but by the looks of the situation, C4 stands no chance. They need time to get things going while Isurus is not taking anything for granted. 1962 and his team will be aiming for a winning start to the competition.
