New CS:GO update targets Vertigo’s A bombsite and Danger Zone! Learn more about all the changes in our detailed article!
A few days ago, Valve introduced some changes for Counter Strike: Global Offensive. In the update, the developers fixed the A bombsite of Vertigo. The developers also focused on the smoke abuse that was found last week.
Vertigo has been added to the competitive map pool a few weeks ago. As soon as it arrived it received a fair share of criticism from the pros since they believed that the map needed major fixes before it can be played in Major competitions.
As time passed more and more players began to voice against Valve. Since it was quite unbalanced. The CT side had an unfair advantage on the A bombsite. Since they didn’t have control over it or had to take awkward fights on the ramps to take control of the map. These difficulties were comprehensively abused by the T side.

Valve seems to have realized its mistake, and have given CTs more control of the ramp area. So, it will be now hard for Ts to push the ramp. The developers have reworked the wood fence, that holds a gap, force the Ts to take the jump. Here is the summary of the changes:
The developer also addressed the infamous smoke bug in the update. Recently the community of CS: GO found ways to change the perspective of smoke grenades and molotovs. The exploit was also undetected by VAC which led the community to believe that pros might have been using them in the competitive games. Valve fixed the issue in a matter a day by making the displays consistent of all the grenade explosions, smoke, and fire.
Small update today – smoke, HE grenade explosions, and fire (molotovs and incendiary grenades) are now always displayed consistently between all players. https://t.co/WrIfllLtkn — CS:GO (@csgo_dev) May 22, 2019

Valve also revealed that it will record the demos of the players on the competitive servers. It means that your information will now be recorded in the freeze or warmup time. The purpose of this feature is to keep an eye on the players so that they will not introduce grenade cheats in the pro games.
For the Danger Zone, Valve has introduced Sirocco and Blacksite in the matchmaking as a time-based map rotation. The drone pilots will now be affected when the radar jammers are active, making them navigate.
The drones will now fly flowers when they will carry paradrop crates. Lastly, since the developer introduced more ammo for the starting weapons in the game, they have now enabled both helmet and armor in the starting equipment option. We believe that they have introduced this change to balance the early game.
