Home I Sports Betting I Confederations Cup Semi-Final
The reigning World Champions from Germany and Europe’s best team, Portugal, have both reached the Confederations Cup Semi-Final. We we will take a look at both matches and try to figure out which bets have the potential to generate some decent money.

We’ll start our analysis with this Wednesday’s game between Portugal and Chile.
After a shaky performance against Mexico in the opening match, Portugal didn’t concede a single goal in the following two games against Russia and New Zealand. Portugal’s team spirit is their main strength and also the reason for their success in the 2016 Euro Cup. Besides Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando Santos counts on other high quality players such as Bernardo Silva or the new AC Milan striker – Andre Silva.
As it happens with the European champions, Chile also likes to have the ball and control the game. Nevertheless, their players are not as talented as the Portuguese when looking only at their individual quality.
It’s always hard to make any prediction on Portugal’s games since Fernando Santos is always more than happy with a 1-0 win. Even though both teams count on extremely talented players up in the front, we’ll stay away from the goals market with the Over 2.25 @2.02 at Pinnacle.
On the other hand, it’s hard to ignore Portugal’s current price to book a place in the final. That said, we’ll put our money on their attractive Draw No Bet or Asian Handicap +0 @1.76 with Pinnacle due to the incredible value on this bet.
The other semi-final takes place on Thursday with Germany and Mexico fighting for a place in the decisive game.
As we mentioned in previous analysis, both teams possess a very strong attack, however, their defense is also quite vulnerable. Germany is the clear favorite and although we agree with their status, it’s impossible to find any value on their current odds.
The sportsbooks are also well protected on the goals market with the Over 2.5 goals @1.92. On the other hand, the Both Teams to Score seems to be a good approach for this game with Bet365 offering @1.75 for each team to score at least one goal on this game.
Mexico has scored two goals per game in this competition while Germany failed to keep a clean sheet in all their previous three games in Russia. With this in mind, Both Teams to Score is our main bet for the 2nd semi-finals between Germany and Mexico.
In addition to the above mentioned, we’ll also leave you with two interesting bets for these two games. Mexico to qualify @2.71 at Pinnacle and Portugal to reach the final @1.73 with Bet365 present some great value.
