The ICC T20 World Cup is organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and was established in 2007. All matches of the T20 World Cup are played as Twenty20 Internationals. Ten of the teams in the tournament qualified for the T20 World Cup automatically. These teams are full members of the ICC and the remaining ICC members can qualify for the competition by playing in the qualification tournament, which takes place approximately one year before the T20 World Cup.

Australia, India, Pakistan, England, South Africa, New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, Namibia, Scotland, and Oman.

Right now, India is the third-most successful team of the competition. The team won the title once and has an impressive win-loss ratio of 20 to 11. While this year’s tournament will be played in Australia, it has already been announced that the next World Cup will be played in India.
